1. I think that the parents of the narrator in “Champagne Flight” are quite normal. I think that they have giving the narrator a good and secure childhood. They have not shown her the downs that there is in the world; they have not introduced her to the world of drugs, alcohol abuse and striptease. I think the parents and the narrator have a normal relationship, at least for a child in that age. I think that the parents might be a little insecure about how to treat their daughter; they do not know if she is a child or an adult. Maybe the narrator dresses up like a grown-up and orders wine, because she do not know if she is a child or grown-up her self, but that she want to be seen as an adult. At the age of sixteen, you are neither a child nor an adult. I think that she fails to tell her parents about Serena Sinclair because she is not use to people like her, someone who is in “show business” or someone who does drugs. Another reason that she do not tell the parents is that it might would show them that she still a bit immature and by that: that she is not an adult yet.
