Shipton was a small town on the coast of North East England, and the shipyard was the onaly large industry. The only other thing the people ind Shipton were proud of was their local football team. It wasn’t the biggest, or most successful team in England, but they thought it was one of the best.

I think Tommy feels that way, because when you are on a stadium you’re feeling the atmosphere.

Tommy used to have long discussions whit his dad about football. It was the only time the really talked about anything together. But, when it came to football, they talked and talked and talked.

Because she didn’t think there seemed to be any reason behind it.

Finally Shipton United have won a match. Shiptin United won 2-1 over City yesterday. The game wasn’t very exciting. The City players where not really interested and were clearly sving their energy for up coming matches. United attacked and attacked in the first half and were getting tired. City’s defence was strong as a rock. After half-time, nited started attacking again and the result was the same. They had the ball most of det time, but they just couldn’t get pas the massed City defense. Five minutes before the end of the gam, City changed their tactics. City attacker jumped up above, the tired United players looked shocked. It had been the only time in the whole match that City had come near the United end, and they had scored. Suddenly the referee tooks his red card and gave the United a penalty and sent the City captain off. The United captain kicked the ball and scored. In the extra time United scored. In the extra time United scored again and won the game 2-1.
