We are in the lower part of the society. It could be in a ghetto. The teller of the story and his “posse” seems poor and they steal.
He has the newest gear and looks very mean. He thinks is very cool and he boops into school. He find it very embarrassing when he doesn’t wear the newest gear.
I’ll say he has a gangster attitude. I find him very mean, and he do not seem to care a shit for other than himself.
I don’t think this man has any form for relationship to his parents. Maybe he lives in their house, but I do not believe that they have any form for connection. His parents could very well be alcoholics or addicted to drugs.
It means that when he’s wearing fresh gear, he don’t have to hide from his gang. When he wears old gear the laugh of him and he find it very embarrassing. When his wearing new gear, he can feel cool.

He wants to be very though and cool. They may not see any of his weaknesses.
He steels all his clothes from the mall or from people he sees on the street.
