When young people commit violent acts, I believe that a lot of issues can have impact of the gun policy in America that has an enormous influence on the crime committed by teenagers with guns. The fact that Americans can go out and buy a gun so easily, I think is one of the main reasons that there are school shootings in USA.
One of the laws in America is that you can have a gun at your house to defend yourself. The gun laws could be one of the things to be done about the problem. As a comparison 12000 people are killed by gunshots in USA and in Canada only 2000.
In Denmark for example is it not a common thing to have a gun at your house or having the possibility to buy one as easily as it is in the US.
I think that the environment and the upbringing are important components to people acting violent. If a person is brought up in a bad environment such as communities with a lot of poverty and people with a low social status, I think that the person has a larger possibility of committing criminal acts, for example school shootings.
