Its a big decision chosing whether you want to be an organ donor or not. If you chose to be an organ donor, you must belive that there are not anything after death requiring your body to be intact, for example seen in a religious matter. You also really must be in a state of mind whether this will really help another human being to a better and longer life.
Give a brief account of the issue of organ donation as it is outlined in the texts?
Text 1. The first text we have read is written by Nigel Hawkes a Chief Medical Officer. He belives that Organ donation should be structured in a system where people automatically become organ donors from the day they are born, leaving them no choise, unless they at a later age decide not to donate. In the text we are told about a girl whos parents have to deside if her organs have to be donated or not. They decide to make her a organ doner, and later they receive a thank you letter from a young girl who had been the happy recipient of one of their daugthers kidneys.
Text 2. The second text is written by Jane E. brody, she explains what organ donation consist of, and in a way explains the store behind donation. She also deals with the conflicts of how and when to use the organs, and what it requires from the involved people. She says that in order to suceed transplantations, and having enough for all, it obviously requires a lot more organ donors.
