Racial segregation: basically means separation of different racial groups in daily life, such as banning Negros, Chinese people and other ethnical groups from eating in a restaurant, drinking from a water fountain, using a rest room, attending school or going to the movies. Segregation was a way to keep all the black people away from the white people. Segregation can exist in a form of laws and legal ways of keeping the blacks “isolated”, but it can also exist in a form of social norms. And what I mean by that is that, sometimes the segregation is actually a legal thing, in fact there was rules against blacks using the same restrooms, supermarkets and eating places as the whites. But sometimes segregation is not a legal thing, it is people who are not fond of the blacks living, eating and voting at the same elections as them.

The way that they handle that situation is that they just simply take the matter in their own hands.

Martin LK experienced segregation in his life, because he was black, and he was in a time were segregation was a normal thing amongst white people. He was the son of a minister, which gave him the advantage when fighting against segregation. He had the gift of being able to get people together in purpose of fighting unanimously against segregation. He was most famous by his speeches, because it was a different way of fighting against something. So people started thinking, if he can just stand there and do nothing else than just talk about what needs to be changed, then maybe we could try to think of better ways to fight our battles.
