Tuesday: We had dinner in a little restaurant named ”Det grønne hjørne” (translated: “The green corner”). The food was really delicious- especially for people on diet- like me. The waiters were really kind to us, eventhough we were noisy as never before. After a little desert (fruits with youghurt) we all went to go se a movie in a cinema called “Øst for paradis” (translated: East from paradise). The brave students in our class went to se a psychological horror-movie. I don’t have the nerves to horror-movies. Especially not that night, because we should walk all the way back to the hostel we were staying at, in the dark night.
Me, [NAVN A], [NAVN C], [NAVN B] and [NAVN D] were cowards so we chose to se “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”. It’s a heart-ripping story about a very successful and good-looking French man named “Jean-Dominique Bauby”. He was head-editor at the high-fashion magazine “Elle”. He was married to a beautiful woman, and she did everything to make him happy, and took very good care of their cute kids.
But since he was so successful, and handsome- a lot of younger, perhaps more attractive women, wanted to be with him. He cheats on his wife, and hardly sees his kids. But one day, he buys this new car, and wants to take his son for a drive. He picks him up at their beautiful house, and they go for a ride. Suddenly Jean-Do (he is called Jean-Do by friends) can’t speak and is sort of paralyzed. A massive stroke is what hit him. It left him with a condition called Locked-In syndrome.
