In this short film you get an idea of how big a difference cultures can do. Here in the short film we see three people from three cultures at a building site. We have:
Terry, who is this British engineer who is very direct and tough. She will save money where she can, if only she can have it all to run on rails (but it doesn’t). She avoids listening to advice from her assistant, as ex. Where Miguel tells her that it would be a good idea to get a contact to get the materials faster through customs, but Terry chose to consult it and save money that way. (Therefore sits goods stuck in customs)
Miguel, who is from a Latin American country. He is the man who stands for the materials arrive at the construction site so they can move forward with construction. He hates conflicts and he avoids telling his boss that all materials are stuck in customs. When he can, he will prefer to avoid conflicts. But nevertheless, he gives advice as he can, example he says to Terry that he knows that it’s best to either have good contacts, or that you get paid to help its materials through customs, otherwise it may take a long time.
