What to do with the Y Generationby Ekrem Zulfovski, The Sunday Times

The Y Generation has been criticized for being, work-shy and demanding, but is it really their fault? Many people believe that it is not really the young people’s fault, but the problem is that they are raised with overindulgent parents. So Generation Y has been overprotected, and has got everything served for them. And most of the Y Generation expects the same from their workplace. They expect that they are getting everything served to their legs. But that isn’t the way things happen. The new generation has new expectations of the workplace, like the article “Generation Y: Millenials – ready or not here they come” explains really well actually. I would recommend whoever wants know something about the Generation Y to read that article. The article explains how the Y Generation really has been overprotected, overindulged and over supervised. And because of all that the Y Generation constantly wants feedback, and constantly wants everything served for them. If they don’t feel appreciated, they do not want to do the work they are set to do. They also want some good work conditions; they are not prepared to mortgage their lives into the companies they are going to work for.
