Account for the issues of privacy regarding surveillance, according to the article “Sorry, Wrong Wiretap” and the video clips from BBC. (300 words)

In my opinion surveillance in general is great. It can provide the police and other authorities the right tools to solve different cases. Al l of this is only about the criminals, what we might not know is that you do not only track those who are against the law, but also us who are innocent and decent citizens. The idea of the CCTV camera is the best idea I have heard so far. You know that there are cameras at all public areas, and you can live with that. If those cameras can track behavior and abandoned luggage for instance, the CCTC will not affect the privacy of the people more. It would actually increase the privacy. That is because the CCTV does not need an operator to watch the screen at all times, it is so smart that it detects any unusual behavior and then alarms the operator. If you as an innocent civilian walk around public areas, no one will be watching you because you do not stand out, and that will give you more privacy. The mobile tracking on the other hand, that is a bad idea. In the wrong hands your entire life and interest could be exposed to the entire world. There is nowhere to hide. There are very few benefits for this kind of technology, such as you can navigate easier through the city and such, but it keeps track of your movement. In the video clip they speak of companies making a profile of you. The companies can track your movement and which places you find interesting and then use it to use specific advertisement against you. That information should be your privacy. If companies could make profiles of everyone there would be no privacy at all. Then you would be able to search anyone on google and you can read anything about them, totally eliminating the privacy.
