I slowly placed a hand on my forehead. I could feel the aching pain, crawl down my spine as my fingers struck my forehead. I turned around, and looked back at my truck. I sighed and shook my head as I saw the flames, rising high into the air. Suddenly everything around me became blurry, as if there’d been fog right where I was standing. I stumbled across my legs and fell. It felt like the ground bounced up against me, right before I struck it. I managed to get up sitting, rather quickly after the plunging strike, against the ground. I dried some sweat, mixed up with blood from my face. It didn’t help that much.Actually it only made things worse, as I now had sand from the forsaken road, in my face and mouth. I couldn’t give up, I had to keep on going. The thoughts were dashing around in my head, and I kept on asking myself: Why? Why had this happened? Why right here, where none was to find me? I felt how my arms and legs began to dwell into sleep, and how my body was trying to convince me, to stay where I was and just fade off to sleep. I had to reject the offer my body made, I could see that I’d lost quiet a lot of blood, so I had to get to the nearest town. Once again I turned around and looked back at the horrifying image of what was left of my once so beautiful truck. It’d been such a beautiful day, and I’d been driving normally as I usually do. Yet, before I knew what’d happened, I’d struck the only tree there was in the landscape infront of me. The car had crashed directly into the tree, whirled around three times and then ended up landing on the roof. There wasn’t much left of the tree, as my car was heavy and strong. I sighed once more and stood up, without the severe problems. I could still feel how my legs were aching, after the crash. I took a deep breath, picked up my bag and started to walk along the desert road. As I was walking there, the barren landscape just kept on going, and going, and going.
