The story is about a new GPS system called Galileo and Galileo is going to be operative in 2008 the system is named after a scientist (Galileo Galilei). The system is a European alternative to the GPS System which has been running since 1989. Galileo is using 30 satellites which should make it more accurate, powerful and reliable. The biggest difference between the two system is that Galileo is going to be an entirely commercial enterprise, where the old one was own by the government.
For example is there a company which is planning to launch a pay-as-you-go-car insurance. Some of the problems with the problems with Galileo are that it can be used to spy on each other which would bring big brother conditions, where everything is monitored the supports are responding by pointing out that if you don’t got the receiver on you, then you will be invisible to the system. Some of the good thing with the system is that can follow paedophiles and other crime makers before they are doing the crime.
