It’s kind of genius, but in the same way it’s not so good. My opinion is people need their privacy. I wouldn’t like to be watched every single day for the rest of my ordinary life. I want my privacy and that’s my right. I can’t see, why ordinary people have to be watched over the shoulders like that. I think it’s wrong to plant these kinds of surveillance cameras in schools and kindergartens. What can you possible use them for? If the school is or have been exposed of bullying or violence, the teachers can guard over the children instead. The advantage of the CCTV-system is violence and crimes could be a lot easier to solve. We could cut down on the police department, if that was the case. Many things could be a lot easier to solve, but what would the price be? Ordinary people would be watched day in and day out. Is that what we really want? The personal space isn’t with us anymore. From the Internet being watched by the government to the streets being watched. It’s a big development on the personal space. The next would possible be ordinary citizens houses and homes being watched. I can see the idea with the project, but the handily of it is totally wrong. The problem is the places for the CCTV project. If I could decide where they should be put. I would pick places with growing criminality like Southampton or West Ham. Both places traumatized by hooliganism. Places with a growing number of crimes and violence. Small town Denmark want CCTV surveillance as well. Something is wrong with the whole world right now. People need their privacy and the want it as soon as possible. As ordinary people we have nothing to hide. But if you think about it, the CCTV surveillance could develop schizophrenia or other mental problem. Would that be the right price for easier crime solving? So the reason for this operation is to ‘control behaviour’ like we are some kind of robots. I don’t think so. If this operation were in my town or country, at one point I would get really mentally ill. Thinking about all those surveillance cameras 24/7. My message would be give the people some privacy. What world are we living in? The government can’t expect us to say yes. Are we some animals in at cage? No, we are people with rights. And it’s in time we stand out for ourselves. Us the people gave them the right to decide, what’s best for us. We can take that right back if we want.
