Gun violence in America

Hello, my name is [NAVN A] and I will like to tell about Gun violence in America.

Why did I choose this topic?

One of the reasons, that I choose the topic, was because I had a personal interest. I like to watch violent films, play violent games, but when it's happening in the real world, I think it's insane. Another reason that I chose this topic is a film, called Bowling for Columbine. A very interesting film, that's trying to make another debate, about guns should be legal or not. You see the case from all sides and what the normal american think about guns.

The American mentality

The american mentality about guns are generally positive. From the opening scenes in Bowling For Columbine Michael Moore gets a free gun, just by opening a new bank account. In the movie some americans were asked why they had a gun. Less than half of gun owners say that the primary reason they own a gun is for self-protection against crime, reflecting a popularity of hunting and sport-shooting among gun owners.

In 1995, Bureao of Alcohol, Tabaco and Firearms estimated that the number of firearms available in the US was 223 million. That's nearly one gun for every person in the whole America. A lot of times, some of the political have trying to change the gun laws, but only 43 percent of the Americans believe new laws would be more effective than better enforcement of existing laws in reducing gun violence in United states. One of the political associations, who thinks every American need a gun is the National Riffle Association.
