Hugs and horror is written by Dorte Roholte. Dorte Roholte is born in 1958 on the 13th of May in Præstø. She writes about love, illness, horror and horses. She has mainly written novels and stories for children and adolescents. Dorte Roholte is one of the most widely read authors in Denmark.
Sarah is 15 years old and works at Paul’s Café, she works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. She starts at three and finish at eight. Sarah works with Louise, she is 17 years old and have a moped. Sarah has to drive through the woods on her way the job. One day when she finish her work and was on her way home, she saw a man between the trees in the wood. She got really scared and drove faster. Moe is Sarah’ best friend, they had been friends forever. They tell everything to each other, and Sarah also told Moe about the man in the woods, but she didn’t believe her. Suddenly Sarah got a text message, where there was a picture of her boyfriend, Michael, he was with another girl, and they kissed. She got very angry and didn’t answer him, when he wrote to her. The next time she was on her way home from work, she saw the man again. This time he stood in the roadside. Sarah got scared that he would jump in front of her, so she drove faster. The next day she asked Paul, the owner of Paul’s Café, if he knew of anybody who has lived in the woods. Paul said that, he had an old school friend whose father had lived in the woods, but he passed away many years ago. She got chills all over her body. Then she assumed that it must have been a ghost she saw.
