An old Marine named Jake, who is paralysed in both legs. Jake´s brother worked on the planet Pandora, a planet that’s just one big forrest, with many new plants and creatures, where the most interesting and developed creature is the Na´vi. They are 3 meters tall, blue-skinned, large-eyed and superstitious people that still live like hunters. They would very much like to live their peaceful lives without the interference of the humans.
But the reason that the humans are on Pandora is that there is a mineral they can sell on Earth for a lot of money, and the place that the mineral is are right under the big tree where the Na´vi lives.
The humans have learned to make a copy of the Na´vis bodys and they call them avatars. Jake´s brother had one of them but it can only be used with his DNA. Jake´s brother dies, so they get Jake to Pandora because they are twins, so maybe he will be able to link to his brothers avatar.
Soon Jack meets one of the Na´vi and starts to like how the Na´vi is living, so if Jake doesn´t stop the human race then they will blow up the tree.
