Resume of Precious The movie Precious is about an illiterate, young black woman who suffers from severe obesity. Her mother, Mary, is a physically and mentally abusing parent. Mary’s also an uncooperative crack addict. Her father rapes Precious. She is pregnant with his second child. Precious handles school very bad. The headmaster decides to send her to an alternative school.When Precious gathers the courage to go to Each One Teach One, the alternative school, she’s greeted by other illiterate students, some from the States, some from outside the States. Precious finds that she has an aptitude for cooking and that
