Resume af Sapphires roman 'Precious'

In the diary Chaireece Precious Jones tells much about her terrible family, relationships, problems in school and similar.

It’s all about a sixteen year old illiterate black girl, named Claireece Precious Jones, but everybody call her Precious. (Only mutherfuckers she hates call her Claireece). She lives in Harlem with her mother and her daughter who get Down Sinder. She is retarded. Precious waiting is pregnant and waiting for her second child, by her own father. Claireece’s father spends not time with his family, and he doesn’t see them.

She hit out out of school, when that pregnancy becomes obvious. Her mother accuses Claireece for everything, but it is not her fault. She has a very evil mom, because she is indifferent with Precious and her grandchildren.

After she kicked out of school she began on a new school named Each-One-Teach-One. A school for people with problems e.g. people who have dropped or kicked out of school. It’s a school where Precious and her classmates learning to write and read. They teach on universal ways and she get a book from her teacher, so Precious can write all her problem and what she have in mind.

Precious has birth the child and come home to her mom. They have a very big quarrel and her mutter throw things after her. She throws a television down stairs but luckily she didn’t hurt.
