When Roger hears music and sees blazing lights coming from his house, he hopes it isn't what he thinks it is. When he and Cindy arrive, their farm looks like a carnival. Roger is curious and wants to sneak in to the party and see what is going on. He doesn't seem angry or furious at all, he's just watching the a huge amount of teenagers running in and out of his house, passing on cigarettes - he notices more cars pull up, but without a frown. He feels as though this whole situation is familiar, it reminds him of a party he went to 25 years ago. The only feeling Roger expresses while sneaking around, is when he sees his daughter smoke a cigarette. He doesn't do anything about it, but he certainly doesn't approve. He realizes, that he is tired of being a strict dad and that there is no way he will march in and be the extinguisher.
