Roger and his Wife Cindy discovered that their daughters are holding a party while they are gone. First Roger was mad because it was his house, and he also saw that his oldest daughter Martha was smoking. Roger saw all the young people in his house, they heard very loud music and make lots of noise and mess in the house. After Roger had been angry at first, he started to think about it and started to calm down.

Roger was overwhelmed by emotions, from when he meets his wife at a party when they were young, and he started thinking that he loved his daughters to mush to yell at them. Then their dog came and barked at them, like they shouldn’t be there, so Roger and Cindy decided to let it go, to take the car and drive away on holiday at Grand Rapids.

Roger is very happy of his family and loves them very mush. But in the beginning of the story he seemed to have forgotten it a little bit. He takes them for granted, and cares more about his fields and garden, then of his daughters. Then Cindy convinced him to take on a vacation, and it was just what Roger needed, because he was so stressed at home.
