A Trip to Grand Rapids: analyse af Roger Hedlund

In the story, A Trip to Grand Rapids, we hear about Roger Hedlund. Roger is a farmer and he has had a quite week, whit lots of rain.

Roger lives in Lake Wobegon whit his wife, Cindy and they have to daughters, Cathy and Martha.

After many days with rain Roger couldn’t take any more, he was started to be very nervous for his fields. Cindy wants him to go with her to Grand Rapids, for visiting her sister, sow Roger could relax for a while.

Then Cindy and Roger came north of Aitkin they turned around. Roger had a bate feeling that his daughters ware doing something wrong. And he felt right, the daughters ware having a party. At first Roger and Cindy got angry but after they had thought and talked about it, they decided to leave again unseen. Roger realise that he didn’t want to be a dad any more. He wanted to be happy with his daughters, instead of being in charge.

Roger Hedlund is a farmer and he lives in Lake Wobegon whit his wife, Cindy They have to daughters, Cathy and Martha. Roger loves his family. Until the end of the story, he had being in charge, in the family. One day Roger realised, he didn’t want to be the strict father anymore. He wants to change; he doesn’t want to be a dad. He wants to enjoy his daughters the way they are. He even thanks God for his good life.
