Jess lives in an english city, and loves football. At her room, there is posters of the english football player David Beckham. When she can, she plays football in the park, and Jess is good to football. She is so good, that Jules, who play on the girlteam in city, noticing and invite her to come and play at Jules’ team. But there is a problem. Jess’ mom don’t want her to play football, and she dont want her to show her bare legs. Jess knows that they want her the best, and it makes her even harder. For the fact is that she will not be a lawyer and not dream about marriage and children - like her older sister Pinky. Jess dreams only of playing football, and soon she began also to dream about her coach Joe. Without her parents know, Jess start to play football at the girlteam together with Jules. They are both boygirls, and gets best friends, which gets a misunderstandig, when Pinkys boyfriends parents sees them at a bus stop, they think Jules is a guy, Jess kissing. There is trouble that goes beyond over Jess' sister, who is getting married - the scandal threatens a transition wedding that will be canceled soon after, to be scheduled again. Jess' and Jules friendship is also in crisis - the weekend of the team is going to Germany and play. Jules is also in love with Joe, and then the whole team in the evening goes in the city, Jules flirts with him. But Joe only has eyes for Jess, and when Jules surprises them, just as they are about to kiss, there will be ice cold air between them. At home Jess seek Jules, to talk about the things, but the only result of that, is that Jules mom overhear some things, and think they are lesbians. When Jess’ parents, discovers that she had been in Germany, and lied about a visit to some relatives, she got ballad again. So hard that she almost give up to play football. Unluckily that day her sister get married, they gonna play a important game, where there is an American talent scount, who has an eye to both Jules and Jess. Now its Jules to come to Jess, and ask if she want to come to the game. To the sister's wedding, the dad gets soft-hearted and leaves Jess participate in the second half of the match. They win the match and talent scout offers both Jess and Jules to come to America. Now, they're just returned to persuade Jess' parents that it is a good idea. And it is the father, who realizes that Jess has a talent and a dream that must not be wasted. Finally accepting the family that Jess will be a football player. And finally, they accept also Joe, as Jess is dating before she and Jules - who has again been good friends - goes to USA
