Everyone has scars. This essay very well describe and illustrate how we look at the scars inside and outside well-known that these are signs of what we’ve been through – not what we’re going to do. Therefore we need look forwards. Life doesn’t come with instructions - so we will learn a lot - and many things will be insignificant for us. Through life we meet many different people - some good people and some bad people – and not all of them are good company; however everything happens of a reason!
What if the one insignificant ‘yes’ will be the most significant ‘no’ in your entire life?

This short story is called: Insignificant Gestures. It’s a story told from the narrator’s point of view. He is a British man who at the age of twenty-eight worked as a district health officer in Africa ten years ago. He’s a man in deep sorrow. He’s unable to process the grief. He represses his problems from the past by drowning himself in other people’s mental problems by working as a psychiatrist.
Ten years ago he went to Africa where he faced a lot of new challenges in his life. As an example he reluctantly got a teen girl called Celia Dimba to help him at home with the housecleaning while he was working. It was against his way of seeing life to have a servant. He didn’t like to call her a ‘servant’; Servants was a symbol of inequality and exploitation and he didn’t need one". It was not his view of human nature.
