Dear Sir

Fast-food is considered unhealthy, but it is a quick meal, which is very popular with the young. The food at McDonald’s are high-calorie and unhealthy. It has high portions of fat, protein and salt. The success of fast food has a negative side-effect; the weight “problem”. The weight “problem” is today considered as the most rapidly growing health risk in many countries. We all know who got blamed for this. Headlines in the media are often about the weight “problems”. Especially in the US and Europe, the fast-food chains gets blamed for these weight “problems”.

McDonalds is more than just an ordinary fast-food chain. The fast-food chain is a cultural mirror. The eating habits in America changes the evolution of the fast-food chains. People eat at McDonald’s in the morning, noon, afternoon, at dinner time and even at night. McDonald’s has been a very huge success and they are not responsible for the way Americans eat. The company feeds around 27 million people every day and 1 million more every year since 2003. McDonald’s most popular food is their burgers and fries, but they now also sell salads and fruit. McDonald’s has no plans using trans fats instead of the normal fat. McDonald’s has made huge changes in their marketing strategy like; opening hours, new meals every week, which matches the time of the day and, the most successfully change is their morning menus. Some of their most popular menus are: Egg McMuffins, Sausage biscuits, Egg and sausage bagels, Orange juice, Smoothies, Coffee.
