1) What do you think of people who go foraging for fruit at vacant homes?
From my point of view, the people who go foraging in vacant homes are in some way doing a good deed. Right now the United States of America is going through one of the biggest financial crisis since the banks cracked in the 30s. The unemployment is greater than ever and a lot of these unemployed people can´t afford the basic means to get by. This means that these people seek help from charities, which in this case are supported by people like Kelly Callahan. If she supports the society by making jam, or things alike, with fruits and vegetables, which would otherwise rot, then people who forages from vacant homes do, do a deed to society. Even though she gets a little jam or so herself, I think it’s a good initiative to use what nobody else want or uses to help the country and the local society when it is in need. In my perspective these people sees possibilities in things where some doesn´t. This ability is what´s needed in the United States and this is what creates new ideas of thinking about using our resources.
