They are some people in South Africa, that have very good jobs and earn good money. They live in proper houses, often in very nice areas. Everything is well protected against burglars by massive fencing and security guards. Some people live in big mansions with lovely gardens and swimming pools.
The white government wanted only white people in the cities. All the black peoples that was lived there, was forced to leave the cities and live outside the cities. Today, there are townships outside the cities. There live millions of black people there. They call their houses ´´matchboxes´´ because they´re small and square.
A township is a place, where there are very small houses and they call they´re houses ´´matchboxes´´. There are many of those in South Africa and there lived millions of people there.
Today if a man and a woman get married, then they got to live with the family in law, because they don’t have a lot of money. There can live 10 people in a ´´matchbox´´.
