Fly Pie is a boy living at a rubbish tip. He collect food and things with value, and he gives it to his protector "Mother Shelly". He is about 10-12 years old and he has a little sister called Jane. They got away from their parents when they were very young and they haven't seen them since. He has many dreams and goals. His biggest dream is to get Jane and himself away from the rubbish tip and get their own house.
The kids have to collect things and sort them into groups, if they want to have a place to sleep at night. After the things have been sorted, Mother Shelly decides if they have enough value to sell. The kids have great respect for Mother Shelly.
Mother Shelly takes care of kids who are homeless, pore and without any family. The kids sees her like some sort of mother and that is probably why they call her "Mother Shelly".
Street kids live on the streets and has take of themselves, while tip kids usually lives in a rubbish tip and has a "mother" to take care of them. The names kind of explains them self's.
If you are a street kid and you get to much attention, the police can snap you up and take you away - and then you will never come back.
