My name is [NAVN A] and Am a boy aged 16. I live in a city called Vejle in Denmark.
Some friends of mine and me like to help people and make differences which may be recognized; therefore we've started a charity group for older people. The reason why we “picked” that type of charity is because it’s different from the other, more “normally” charity groups. In the last while there have been a lot of focus on the older and how to treat them in Denmark.
You see, there is something called “old people's home” in Denmark, which is spread across the country. The “old people's home” is, as the name hint, a home for older people were they can live if their family can’t take care of them. Personally we (my group) think that it’s quite scary to just send your old parents or other old people, to a home where there will be stranger people taking care of them until they eventually past away. But I guess that we only have that point of view because there have been quite much in the media, how the old is being treated, and let me just say; It is horrifying! On some “old people's home” the older are being waked up in the middle of the night, to be washed because there is no such time during the day. Some of the staff on some “old people’s home” is not very nice to the old people they yell at them. Also there is really bad service; the old people can easily risk getting cold food.
