Venetian Blinds B “Venetian Blinds” is a short story published in 1989. The story takes place in London, and is about Eva Feldman, who is the main character. At the beginning of the story we find out that Eva can’t look out of her window, because she has to cover them with Venetian Blinds. The traffic noise would be unbearable without the venetian blinds. “If Mrs. Eva Feldman opened her front window during the day, she would spend all the time dusting and she wouldn’t be able to hear herself think.”(pg. 1 line 7). This symbolizes that she is alone
