Nordkraft is a novel written by Jacob Ejersbo and published in 2002 by Polity Press (Gyldendal). Jacob Ejersbo was a journalist, but had always dreamed of becoming a writer. He had since 1988 been living in Aalborg and had a good knowledge of the environment he wrote about in the book. Although he said that he has moved on the outskirts of the environment, and the friends who knew more about it, have helped with details of pusher environment. Nordkraft is about youth, friendship, drugs and love and takes place in the first half of the 1990s. The book contains three stories which repeatedly intersect and we often encounter the same people even though the main characters never get any real relationships with each other. In the third story, Funeral meet, however, almost all those we have read about and a lot of pieces fall into place. You find out how their lives have changed since we last heard of them.

When I went in the 9th grade, I read the book “Nordkraft” in the school. I found that book very interesting because it gave me a view on another kind of living in Denmark. This book is aimed primarily at people who find it interesting to read about real life stories. The book is in a part one, two and three.
