Chris McCandless was a normal average guy. He lived in a wealthy neighborhood in Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. After Chris finished high school, he went for a road trip around the country. During this time Chris found out, that his dad secretly had had a second family during Chis’ childhood. When Chris got home, he started as a freshman at Emory, and his anger against his parents grew more and more. Chris welt humiliated and betrayed, and his relationship to his parents changed after his discovery. He did not want to talk to his parents, and he became very isolated. At Chris’ senior year he barely kept in touch with his parents, and had drifted away from his friends. Chris kept to him self and he was very angry at the society, and wanted to get away from everything. Chris let his parents think that he wanted to study law, but instead, he donated his honors on 25.000 dollars to charity, got in the car, and drived away. He did not tell anybody where he was going. He changed his name along the way, and never contacted his sister or parents again. After two years Chris settled on a plan to go to Alaska. He wanted to try to live completely alone in truly wilderness, with very few supplies. He wanted to see if he could do it, push him self to the extremes. Chris spent almost sixteen weeks living in a deserted bus, not seeing a single human the entire time. He lost a lot of weight, and after some time he ate some moldy seeds, which contained a poison, that caused him to starve to death. He realized he was going to die, so he wrote a goodbye message, and some time after some hunters found his body in the bus.
