The film is about a boy named Benjamin, but he is being called for Ben. Ben is 21 years old and he has just finished college. His parents have the right high expectations of him. His family and friends is holding a "Homecoming" party for him. Mrs. Robinson, the wife of his father's business partner, asks Ben to drive her home, which he reluctantly agrees.
When they reach her home she asks Benjamin to follow her in because she is afraid of the dark. She convinces him to take a drink, but Benjamin would much rather go home. She says that he must stay there until her husband comes home. Mrs. Robinson begins to abut on Ben, but he is very unsure and trying to avoid Mrs. Robinson. Some days after are Ben in a hotel and he calls Mrs. Robinson He asks if they can meet in a hotel room and Mrs.. Robinson comes as fast as she can and then they have sex. And they have an affair the most of the summer.
A night when Ben and Mrs. Robinson lying in bed they start to discuss, for Mrs. Robinson would not want Ben to date her daughter, Elaine.
