I do not like talent shows. I think it is good at some points, but mostly bad. The good parts of the various talent shows on TV, would be that people with an actual talent, like singing, can become discovered, and maybe get a career out of it. The famous artist Agnes got famous after winning X-Factor in England. In Denmark, no one that I can think of, has become world famous after winning or participating in a talent show. People tend to forget them after 2-3 months. The only “famous” Danish person I can think of would be Basim. But he also does something to keep up his fame. He makes his own songs, goes to hospitals to visit children that are fans of him. The winner of the first season of X-Factor, Martin, got boring because he didn’t make his own songs. He just chose some old songs and sung them his way. I think that most people just participate in X-Factor to get on TV, and get a small kick of famousness. The bad thing about x-factor is that people at home, behind the TV screen, sit there and laugh of other people who cannot sing. Of Course some people does it for fun, and know that they can’t sing. This is often young people, whose friends made a bet, if they would dare to join X-Factor. I think there was a drunk man who attended once.
