On 30 November I contacted the organization NO-WORK-FOR-CHILDREN. The reason for my application was that our company needs information about child labour, as many of our products are manufactured in developing countries, and therefore some of them are certainly manufactured by child labours. This is a fact we can hardly continue to accept. As consumers are simultaneously still more critical about this item, it is important that in MANY-ACCESSORIES we try to do something about the problem.
I asked the organization to help us by providing us with some material about child labour, and on 2nd December I received a reply in which they expressed their consent. Furthermore NO-WORK-FOR-CHILDREN attached some written material and they referred us to addresses on the Internet, where we can find further information about the topic. However, what seems most interesting is that the suggested a cooperation between our company and their organization, in order that we may compare our business targets with the interest of their organization. I find such a cooperation a good idea, and as the purchasing department in our company with the closed contact to the manufactures of our goods, I think it would be appropriate if representatives from here participated the meeting with NO-WORK-FOR-CHILDREN. I suggest 10th December at 1 pm. will this time be appropriate?
