Piracy is damaging the society and supporting criminals

British government is taking copyright abusers more seriously then ever. The UK came in second behind the US in leading the fight with intellectual property theft. In the United Kingdom the fight against piracy copying has one in, and the ministers has begun to understand the importance of protecting film-makers and record labels.

The people in the UK, like the piracy DVD’s, because of the cheap prises and the fact the they usually get out before they start selling them in the stores. This way it make it easier to buy more movies and not having to wait for them to get out in the stores.

Piracy is an increasing problem all around the world. According to a survey made of 48 major companies, shows that China was the worst at intellectual property protection, followed by Russia, India, Brazil and Indonesia.

Piracy is still spreading all around the world. But why does this keep happening? The answer to that in the UK, would be that they are encouraged by the poor laws, the weak enforcement and legal penalties.
