If I Were a Girl: A Reflection on Gender Roles

Girl (someone who wears a lot of makeup, uses hours on, laying the makeup, taking pictures, in the shower, removing the makeup, taking care of their clothes and look, reads magazines, and chats with their friends)

If I were a girl.

If I were a girl my life would be completely different from what it is now. I would have completely different hobbies, different friends, and a different life. I think that my relationship would either be worse or better but I think we have a pretty good relationship now and hope to keep it that way. I would hope that I was a natural beautiful girl so I wouldn’t need to wear all that makeup anyway I don’t think I would wear it. One of the things I don’t want to experience as a girl is their period because all the girls always complain about their period so I think it hurts or maybe it’s annoying. Also my habits would be different my point of view in school, boys, food, and a lot of things would be very different in my everyday.

I think the reason why men and women, boys and girls life’s are so different because we are raised different and would have different privileges. Boys are raised like men and girls are raised like women by that I mean my dad is teaching me how to use the lawn mower, how to shave, and how to drive. If I had a sister my mom would teach her how to cook, clean, and wash dishes.
