Ever since the Sandy Hook massacre, the hot topic on our fellow Americans’ lips is none other than an old demon, whom have returned to the public eye, Gun Control. The Sandy Hook massacre has gotten an amazing amount of media coverage, and now even after several months after the massacre, we discuss past events of Adam Lanza, and how an event this gruesome should never have happened in our modern society.

And how does our society deal with this issue? This is not the first school shooting in history; however it is the first elementary school shooting to ever have caught national wide attention, described as a tragedy beyond what we’ve seen before as 20 children were robbed of their innocence and future. But how do we address this demon called guns in everyday society? The answer is to everyone’s knowledge not a simple one, and especially during the financial crisis, some economic measures to prevent sale of weapons are blocked by cooperation’s lobbying congress.

The public eye fell on the current president Barrack Obama, whom expressed sadness and emotion in his nationwide broadcast regarding the shooting. The public demanded change, they demanded results and they wanted them before the next tragedy could unfold itself before the nation. Obama continued to pledge the people for help, as the power as president doesn’t give you full power over the government, and thus it was congress whom had to come to ends with the solution, in the case of presenting and making new laws to illegalizing the sale of semi, and fully, automatic assault rifles and high capacity magazines for both pistols and rifles.
