I choose to talk about school shootings, because it’s an absolutely horrible thing that keeps happening in the US and because we need awareness to it, not that me talking about it here gives it much awareness but.. yeah
2. The columbine school shooting occurred on the 20th of April 1999, at Columbine High School which is an unincorporated area of Jefferson County in the state of Colorado, meaning (correct me if I’m wrong ) an area that is not governed by its own local corporation.
Okay so one of the perpetrators was Eric Harris and he was born the 9th of April 1981Wichita, Kansas. His father was an transport pilot for the U.S Airs force and his mother. in 1993 they moved to Colorado where Eric worked at a place called Blackjack Pizza.
The other perpetrator was Dylan Klebold who was born in Lakewood, Colorado, to Thomas and Susan Klebold. Dylan was also an employee at Blackjack pizza.
The massacre Eric and Dylan arrived at the school in separate cars and took two gym bags each containing a 20-pound propane bomb and left them in the school cafeteria. But they failed to detonate, so Eric and Dylan opened fire, slaughtering students and teachers and the pair killed 13 people and wounded 24 others before committing suicide in the library.
