Title of the movie: “The Magdalene Sisters”Main Characters: The main characters that we get to see in the film are:Margaret, played by Anne-Marie DuffBernadette played by Nora-Jane NooneRose played by Dorothy DuffySister Bridget played by Geraldine McEwanCharacter description: Margaret: Margaret is the first of the three girls that are portrayed in the movie. We meet her at a wedding where her cousin rapes her. Which means that she had sex before married, so she is sent to the laundry at The Magdalene Asylum. Margaret is very friendly and cares about her friend Crispina who has lost her holy St. Christopher pendant. Margaret is eventually free to go when her younger brother comes to the asylum with a letter from their dad, confirms that she is free to go.Rose: Rose is a second main characters. The first time we meet Rose, she is at a hospital where she just have born her first child, a son. Roses mom and dad are not happy about her being a mother because she is not married, therefore Rose now have sinners. She is send away to work off her sinners at The Magdalene Asylum.She is determent to work hard at the asylum as she hope to see her son again one day.Rose are very worried about her son, and after getting denied to send a birthday card to him on his birthday, she is beaten by Sister Bridget for talking to her son through the gate around the asylum. Later on she agrees to escape from the Magdalene Asylum with Bernadette. At the very end of the movie we are informed that she is reunited with her son and got two additional kids with her husband.Bernadette: Bernadette is a young girl who is sent to Magdalene Asylum. She is sent away because she is flirtatious with the boys at her school. Bernadette tries to convince a male employee to marry her so she can get out of the asylum but without any luck. At the end of the movie she finally escapes from the asylum with Rose after a long violent scene with Sister Bridget in order to get the key.
