Marco Polo: opdagelsesrejsende og hans rejser

The Explorer Macro PoloMarco Polo was born the 15th September 1254 died the 1324 January 8th in his home town Veince, he’s now resting at the Church of San Lorenzo. Marco Polo was an Italian merchant traveler from the Republic of Venice who travelled through Asia. Marco Polo is known for his travel cross Asia, which also got him known in the rest of the Europe. Marco Polo stated the journey in 1271 by sailing out of Venice and travel towards Acra with his Dad and Uncle, and his experienced male crew. He’s dad ment a lot to him, because he was the only man in the family. And in the 1256’s did you look up to your farther. When he went home from his journey 24 years after 1283 .He achieved to see Venezia, iran, irak, Hormuz, Afghanistan, Tibet, China, and Beijing. That was quite a lot of country’s he managed to see, so of cause did the rumors spread very fast all around the world because that was an amazing feat. A few years after he returned home from his journey, he came into a prison by the Genoa under a war between Vience and Genoa. As a prisoner in Genoa, Marco Polo did meet a famous book writer named Rustichello, which was born in Pisa. Rutichello wrote about he's reports not just the one he had experienced but also the ones he had heard about. So Marco polo decided to tell Rutichello about his long traveling journey throughout Asia, Persia, China and Indonesia between 1267 and 1291 and the different cultures. Rutichello was very interested to write down the story. So they wrote the book in the prison cell, it took one year to write down the whole book, from 1298 to 1299. First it was called ‘’Devisament dou monde and livres des Merveilles du monde’’ in French name but when it came out on English as well they decided to rename the book to ‘’The Travels of Marco Polo, so everyone could read it.
