He stood outside looking in.?He wondered what it would be like living in this new place. No matter what, he knew he would miss his parents in the course of the next year, but he was also excited about the prospects of living somewhere different. He was a little nervous as he rang the doorbell.
He looked around to see the new place where he would be spending the entire year on. It was somewhat sad, the thought of not seeing his parents for such a long time. Coming to a foreign place that he had never been before all by himself, seemed challenging. He was nervous yet excited, new place, new house, new friends and new family. He looked forward to having a completely new experience.
When the house owner opened the door, she welcomed him cheerfully and looked admiringly at him.
The old lady looked puzzled to learn that he had traveled all the way from Denmark to USA.
“My mother sent me here. She was hoping that I would learn some new experiences and perhaps make some new friends” He beamed at the lady, “She said, that’s what I need.”
The lady seemed pleased to hear more about who he was, and was eager to know why was he is sending here to stay with her. She did not make much of the comments, but instead looked at him kindly and nodded from time to time.
