The theme is about the son/father relationship and most of all it´s about trust. If you can´t trust your family and friends then what will happen to society.
Setting:
The text is mainly about the relationship between Alí(the son) and Parvez(the father) it starts out with describing how Parvez had noticed that his son was somehow changing. As an example: Alí always had posters all over his four walls in the room but now they were all gone along with a couple of pictures. Parvez was curios about what happened to his son and began to think htat he may have sold it to get money for drugs or something like that. Later Pavez meets an old friend named Betina. When Parvez told his friends about her they became awkwardly silent which turned about to be because she is has become some kind of hooker.
The fact that Alí was becoming religious didn´t suit Pavez well. He didn´t understand why it was so important for his son, instead of just focusing on his homework. Then it happened Parvez overreacted and hit his son a couple of times. But Alí had no fear he just said: who´s the fanatic now.
