Brief summary: The father tries to walk into his son’s bedroom. He is surprised that his son is getting tidier in his room. His father doesn’t understand. But he gets to know that when he figures out that Ali’s has parted from his English girlfriend and his old friends who used to come often to the house. He tries to talk with his son. But he is afraid of his son because he answers in a sharp tongue. Once Parvez mentioned to his son; “You don’t play your guitar anymore” and he answers, “There are more important things to be done!” Ali’s father has worked long and many hours and spent a lot of money on his son’s education as an accountant, he bought good suits, all the books he required and a computer and now the boy is throwing his possessions out! The TV, video and sound system followed the guitar. Soon the room was practically clean. Parvez has worked as a Taxi driver for 20 years. Half that time he has worked for the same company. Like him most of the other drivers are Punjabis. He works at night because the roads are clearer and they earn more money. Parvez has a hard time bringing this subject up with his friends because he is too ashamed and he afraid, too, that they would blame him for the taking a bad choice.
