Write an analytical essay (800-1200 words) in which you analyse Barack Obama’s speech “Address to the Nation on Immigration” and discuss the issue of undocumented immigrants in the USA.

On November the 5th, 2014, former president of the United States, Barack Obama, gave a nationwide speech on national immigration. In the speech he discusses the problems of the American immigration system, and what he, as the president, wants to change. Afterward, Obama addresses what he thinks the solution is to this problem. Obama Speaks to the whole nation, as he starts his speech by saying “My fellow Americans, tonight, I’d like to talk with you about immigration”. He uses a normal, easily understandable language in his speech so the individual American can understand Obama´s message.

There is a lot of problems with Illegal immigration. Cheap unfair labor, taxes that are not getting paid, increased criminality among many things. Cheap labor and missed taxes often go hand in hand. There are approximately around 12 million undocumented immigrants in the US. Together, they make quite a big part of the US work force, and if they get low paid jobs so they won´t pay taxes the US misses a lot of money.
