En udvekslingsstudents første dag i England

I’ve just woken up, and I’m so excited, because this is a special day, because it is my first day at my new school, as an exchange student. I start going out in the kitchen, and get some breakfast, and while I’m eating, I think about all kind of things, like how they think about me, or if they even want to be friends with me. I’m beginning to get nervous but that is the worst thing that could happen, because if that happens, they probably won’t think I’m cool. So, I’m just thinking about the good things that could happen, before I go out of the door. When I’m done eating, I start getting my back ready, and then I’m on my way to the new school. On my way to the bus stop, I see many people on my age, so, I’m thinking they are going on the same school as me, but I’m too afraid to talk to them. So, when the bus comes, I find a seat for myself in the back of the bus and found my phone. While I was looking at my phone, the bus just stopped and I looked out, it was the new school. I walked out of the bus and towards the school hallway, I opened the door, and walked straight in, the nervousness got to me, and it got even worse, because I got pushed in back by a shoulder walking into me, but I held my balance and walked to my classroom. There I found a place at a table, where all the other boys sat, they asked what I was doing here, I answered that I was the new exchange student, and that I should be here the next school year. They asked me how old I was and my name, but I didn’t have time to answer, because the teacher came, the teacher asked me, if I wanted to go up to the blackboard, and tell them something about me, I said yes, it felt like along way up to the blackboard, but when I was up there, I took a deep breath and said my name is [NAVN A], I’m from Denmark, I’m 15 years old, and I’m glad to be here with you guys here in England. When I came home, I was thinking about what happened in the hallway, and said to myself that I will try to do something else the next day, maybe I’ll come with some of my new friends or something else.
