Pete was getting ready to visit Zoe when his phone rang. Two kids had been reported missing in the mountains. Pete was surprised. It was many years ago that someone had disappeared in the mountains. Pete sent a text message to Zoe and told her that he couldn’t come this evening because two kids were missing in the mountains. He ran out to his car and drove to the city to meet with the rest of the rescue team.
Two days earlier…….
- Come on Jane! We are going.
- I’m coming. I just need my book about birds.
Jane found the book put it in her backpack and ran out to Jack. They went into the forest and up the mountain.
They had looked forward to this trip to the mountains and could not wait to get out into the nature and see all the wild animals. They had all their books about wild animals in the mountains with them and of course their cameras.
They had decided to walk until sunset and then find a place to sleep that night. Within two days they have to be in a small town in the mountains and meet with some friends.
