Dear journal, I'm still blown away, I really think we discovered something big yesterday. This morning i walked my daily morning walk, but I could not let yesterday's discoveries be. I have never felt so focused and passionate about something as I am about this. I had to stop by Francis´ house, i needed to know if he wanted to go work as bad as i did, even though it is saturday. It did not take me long to get there, apparently i was walking much faster than i even noticed. I knocked on the door and Francis came rushing out, it seemed like he had expected me. Either way we quickly agreed to go to the labaratory, and continue yesterday's research. The hours flew by and we got closer and closer to finding something spectacular. We believed we had found the fundamental of the human body - a collection of knowledge about how our bodies are built, and how they are supposed to look. At that point we had a idea of what we had found, but we could never imagine what we would find next. We found out that this “DNA” as it is called it is not just something that knows how we are supposed to look. “DNA” is in every single cell in the human body! It does not just know how we look, but as far as we have come now, we believe that it tells every single cell how to act, and what to do. We learned that it is built up by something we do not yet know what is, what we believe that it is some sort of nucleobases that makes the DNA. This is not the most exciting news though, all of this is mostly already known, but we have learned how its is structured. We believe that we have discovered that it is build in something we would like to call a double helix, that looks like this drawing.
