Jessica Watson is the yet youngest to sail around the world all by herself.
That is something others only dream of. But nevertheless, she did it.

” All it takes is an ordinary person, with the will to make it happen”
Quote by Jessica Watson
Jessica Watson was born in 1993 in Buderim, Queensland. She spent most of her childhood on family houseboat. The one thing, which made her inspiration, was a sailing story, when she was 12 years’ old. She was a very shy person as a child, always in the background, when her siblings were playing or when they were going out on sea. Jessica was a girl, who was afraid of “just about everything”, she says herself. She was the last of the siblings to learn to sail, because it wasn’t her thing and her mother says that Jessica was the last to almost everything.
Around the World
The trip around the world was 210 days long, and without any friends or family members. All Jessica had, was her boat and her blog, which was a kind of a diary over the trip and kept her from feeling that she was lonely. The blog had over 1 million followers during the world trip. The 7 months long voyage was very dangerous, she experienced very bad weather conditions, and the boat was about to capsize three times, because high waves and strong wind, but she luckily survived the wild waters, and got safely around the world to get her award.
