The definition of a “school shooting” is that it's a gun violence that takes place in an educational institution, such as a school or university. School shootings must not be confused with terroristic attacks. Normally a human being or more human beings walk into a school with carrying weapons like guns and bombs, and start shooting at people with the intentions of killing them.
One of the most famous school shootings was the massacre at Columbine High School in Colorado on April 20, 1999. Two students, Dylan & Eric, killed 13 students and teachers. They later committed suicide, bringing the total death to 15, while 24 people were injured.
I think the reason that Dylan & Eric did the school shooting was because they were mentally ill. We also know that they were bullied, and that may have triggered them, and that's why they were so angry at all the other students.
I think there is a lot of reasons why a shooting could occur, it could be because of drug use, violent society, video games, bullying, and mental issues or the lack of gun control in America. My opinion of the school shooters is that they are mentally ill or mentally disturbed. You can’t be normal person if you just walk into a school and start shooting at the other students or teachers.
