I have to admit, that when I read the article “No More Couch Potatoes”, it wasn’t a shocker. The facts about how many people in America, which exercise regularly was disturbingly low, but it wasn’t a surprise. I mean, we hear so much about people getting fatter and not eating the right thing all the time, but it doesn’t seems like people are improving.
I am probably one of those people they are referring to. I am not really getting the eight-hours sleep that I’m supposed to have. I love my TV and snacks and I used to be kind of lazy and not really get the exercise that I need. But lately I took a test in a magazine called “Fit”, and my result said, that I really needed to do some changes fast, otherwise it wasn’t looking good for me in the future. And that test started some thoughts in my head. And now I run at least three times at week, I eat healthier, and I am planning to join a fitness center called “Fitness World” with some class-mates. But it’s expensive. My parents pay for me, but I don’t think it’s fair that it is only wealthy people, who can afford using the gym and people who are not making that much money cant. So the prices for the gym should definitely be lower. But at the other hand, everybody can just take a run. It doesn’t cost anything and you get some fresh air. So there are really no excuses not to do exercise.
